Save the Enviroment

My community doesn’t care that much about the environment and this includes me last time. But I realize how important the environment is during my trip to Santubong Mountain in Sarawak. In the RWMF held in Santubong there are recycle containers but no one uses them. Even though I was struggling there because of heavy rain, my legs stucked in the mud and damaged my sandals and huge crowd plus no proper place to sit but it was the most rewarding experience being in the jungle and listening to the unique music’s from different nations. Being at the top and seeing all these wonderful things. People don’t even take the time to experience things like this. I was really glad I took the time to see nature at its best. Since then, I have realized the importance of the environment and will do my best to save and protect our beautiful nature.

Few ways to save the Enviroment.

1 Recycle everything: newspapers, bottles and cans, aluminum foil, etc.
2. Don't use electrical appliances when you can easily do by hand, such as opening cans.
3. Use cold water in the washer whenever possible.
4. Re-use brown paper bags to line your trash can instead of plastic bags. Re-use bread bags and produce bags.
5. Store food in re-usable containers.
6. Save wire hangers and return them to the dry cleaners.
7. Donate used items to a charitable organization or thrift shop.
8. Don't leave water running needlessly.
9. Turn your heat down, and wear a sweater.
10. Turn off the lights, TV, or other electrical appliances when you are out of a room.
11. Flush the toilet less often.
12. Turn down the heat and turn off the water heater before you leave for vacation

Racist Teacher

Im so disappointed to read the news published in Malaysia Kini on August 5th 2008. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/87278 The news stated that a female history teacher had allegedly called Indian students ‘keling pariah', ‘Negro' and ‘black monkeys', amongst other derogatory names. The teacher purportedly told students during class that ‘Indians came from dogs', Indians are ‘children of prostitutes' and the community is stupid. Deputy Education Minister Dr Wee Ka Siong reportedly said the school teacher might be sacked if the allegations are proven to be true but is awaiting an official report before taking any action. How can a school teacher can come out with such a stupid statement? This is real embarrassment to whole Malaysian Teaching Association. Im not saying that all the teachers are bad just because of the remark that thrown by this stupid lady and there is no doubt that the country still own a good and quality teachers in our government schools.

A stern action has to be taken on her and if you ask me, the Education Ministry must sack her from teaching in schools anymore. Why do we need this kind of racist in our schools? This is totally against the teaching profession I would say . When I was in primary school, I will be attending agama classes since im a Muslim somewhere back in 80’s. I still remember that the agama teacher will teach and ask the students not have any friendship with the non Muslims students. This is where the unity of multiracialism in this country starts to break. She will come out with all kind of nonsense saying that the non Muslims are our rivals or contestant you hope to defeat and they will be going to hell upon their deaths and remains there forever and so on. Any small kid for the matter will be poisoned with her stories. Infact that is what I thought and I fully believed her stories that point of time. Even in Universities, the hostel rooms will be segregated according to the races. You can see even in the lecture halls the students will be sitting together among their own skin.
Let me come back to my initial story regarding the teacher had allegedly called the Indians students: keeling pariah” I don’t blame the teacher alone in this issue. I have to blame the Indians as well in the entire issue. Indians are still practicing the caste system. They don’t respect some of their own Indian ethnic group and labeling them low caste, “pariahs” Pattus” and so on. When it comes to marriages, no matter how well they are educated, the first question which will arise is “what caste are you from? I even have friends who graduate a hold a high position in the society but sorry to say they still practice and believe in the caste system. Although they understand that the caste system is a total bullshit and it’s a man made thingy, but yet they still believe in it. They will debate that the caste system got to be abolished, but when it comes to them, they will forget the debate. This is a total hypocrisy.

Let me brief more on the caste system in Hinduism. The infamous "caste system" is the result of the reincarnation and karma doctrines. The 4 castes eventually developed into a social mosaic of 3,000 sub-castes with the Untouchables at the bottom of the list, as virtually inhuman, good only to clean dirt and excrement... and without any hope of redemption or betterment because their miserable destiny has been predetermined by a former existence. And the priestly Brahmin class, the highest one, sees no need to extend acts of kindness to the less fortunate; because to do so would interfere with the karma of those beneath them and bring disrespect upon the privileges of their class, a status which they deserve because of their conduct in previous reincarnations. To do good to one of the lower classes, according to reincarnation, would only interfere with the divine cosmic law of karmic punishment. If you are born an Untouchable, no other class will even "touch" you; if you are born a shoemaker in India you will die as a shoemaker, no other class will accept you; no hope of improving your life... it is the greatest prejudice and discrimination system of a nation.

The 4 Casta System" are:
1- The "Brahmins": The priestly class, born from the mouth of Brahman, with "varna" color white. ("varna" is the "occupational class".
2- The "Kshatriyas": Warriors and rulers, senators, presidents, majors, born from the chestofBrahman.colorred.
3- The "Vaisyas": Farmers, merchants, lawyers, doctors. Born from the thighs. yellow.
4- The "Sudras": Unskilled workers. Born from the feet of Brahman. Color black.
5- Other sub-castes: Then, they have been reported up to 3,000 sub-castes, with the "Untouchables" at the bottom. They have no color... do they not descend from Brahman?.

Salvation is possible only for the top three castes, which are called the "twice born." Actually, outside the caste system are the untouchables or outcastes. The Caste System was born and maintained by the Brahmins, the priestly class... they are the ones to get more advantage from it!

Because of this discrimination, there are many Indians who so called low cast Hindus converted to Christianity and Islam, when they are getting equality in terms of respect and socio economic values offered by this two religions . Indians must be united regardless whether they are Hindus (doesn’t matter what caste are they from), Muslims or Christians or what ever religion they belief in. If we are united and respects each other, I believe in years to come no one dares to throw such a bad remarks or statement to our community like what the stupid teacher did. We cannot change whatever is already written in the history, but we can change to become a better human for the benefit of our own Indian community. Im proud to be an Indian and I love my Tamil Language so much .

What Should I Do With My Life

It's time to define the new era. Our faith has been shaken. We've lost confidence in our leaders and in our institutions. Our beliefs have been tested. We've discredited the notion that the Internet would change everything (and the stock market would buy us an exit strategy from the grind). Our expectations have been dashed. We've abandoned the idea that work should be a 24-hour-a-day rush and that careers should be a wild adventure. Malaysia is no more a safe place. Yet we're still holding on.
I am sure many Malaysians can relate their own account of being robbed or having their loved ones die from head injuries as a result of snatch thieves on motorbike dragging them along the ground.
We live in a time and age where it is no longer safe for women and children to go out anywhere. I remember that as a young boy , I used to walk to the grocery shop near home to buy things for my mother and I used to walk home from school. I doubt now that any sane mother would let their children’s especially their daughters walk down the neighborhood street alone.

Our country is being overrun by illegal immigrants. There are the Indonesians and now people from Myanmar, Bangladesh and Africa are also coming.Since my wife work in a government hospital, I know for a fact that the number of illegals is rapidly increasing as more are being born and bred here. Even they are fighting to get a Malaysian citizenship and open Indonesian schools in this country. The numbers of the Indonesians in Malaysia are more comparing to the local Indians. This is seriously not healthy. Soon or later they will be given a citizenship just to count them in the voting list by the irresponsible politicians to just benefit them, cronies and their parties.

Where is the law enforcement? Or maybe the immigration department is busy fighting internal corruption at the moment, or busy with some other sodomy cases. Seriously our current government is heading the wrong way too. Although we have many grade of excellence leaders, but they are not given a chance to rule the country. Our country is blessed with all the naturalresources, but yet we still in #63 in the world ranking.

With ever soaring prices of food and petrol, the crime rate will go up for sure. Can our government please make sure that Malaysia remains a safe and secure place to live in?
We are not interested in sending astronauts or space tourist in the exact word to outer space or building a sports centre in the UK if we don’t even have safe streets.

Safety and security in our homes should not be the privilege of the elite who can afford heavy security, gated communities in million ringgit houses. It should be the right of every

One World One Dream

Beijing held its formal opening ceremony today for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The ceremony, held in the National Stadium known as the Bird's Nest, was attended by thousands, and watched by millions more on television.

"One World One Dream" fully reflects the essence and the universal values of the Olympic spirit -- Unity, Friendship, Progress, Harmony, Participation and Dream. It expresses the common wishes of people all over the world, inspired by the Olympic ideals, to strive for a bright future of Mankind. In spite of the differences in colors, languages and races, we share the charm and joy of the Olympic Games, and together we seek for the ideal of Mankind for peace. We belong to the same world and we share the same aspirations and dreams.

"One World One Dream" is a profound manifestation of the core concepts of the Beijing Olympic Games. It reflects the values of harmony connoted in the concept of "People's Olympics", the core and soul of the three concepts -- "Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics". While "Harmony of Man with Nature" and "Peace Enjoys Priority" are the philosophies and ideals of the Chinese people since ancient times in their pursuit of the harmony between Man and Nature and the harmony among people, building up a harmonious society and achieving harmonious development are the dream and aspirations of ours.
It is our belief that peace and progress, harmonious development, living in amity, cooperation and mutual benefit, and enjoying a happy life are the common ideals of the people throughout the world.

"One World, One Dream" is simple in expressions, but profound in meaning. It is of China, and also of the world. It conveys the lofty ideal of the people in Beijing as well as in China to share the global community and civilization and to create a bright future hand in hand with the people from the rest of the world. It expresses the firm belief of a great nation, with a long history of 5,000 years and on its way towards modernization, that is committed to peaceful development, harmonious society and people's happiness. It voices the aspirations of 1.3 billion Chinese people to contribute to the establishment of a peaceful and bright world.

The English translation of the slogan is distinctive in sentence structure. The two "One"s are perfectly used in parallel, and the words "World" and "Dream" form a good match. The slogan is simple, meaningful, inspiring, and easy to remember, read and spread.

In Chinese, the word "tongyi", which means "the same", is used for the English word "One". It highlights the theme of "the whole Mankind lives in the same world and seeks for the same dream and ideal".

Religions shouldn’t be a barrier for PEACE

This is first time im going to post something on my blog. Today is September 11, its still fresh in mind how the two giant planes with full of fuel attacked and crashed the World Trade Centre 5 years ago and killed thousand of innocent souls. . I always asked my self why, why all these happened? The one and only reason it could be is religion.

I'm a Muslim by birth and my personal faith like that of most people has wandered through a long path of doubt, fear, uncertainty and such feelings. Ultimately, spurred by a number of things including meeting some people and my friends, and some books that I read, I had this question. What's the purpose of religion? I mean why so many people in the world follow a religion. Is atheism a religion? What is a religion after all? Why all this complication? What is the point in going to a church/temple/mosque/himalayas and praying? For atheists, it won't make sense. If Darwin says there is no god then why the hell all these? But for pious people, what's the reason? Why should the almighty god up there really want people to worship him? What's he going to get? Most people would say something like god loves his creatures and he wants to give them a chance to get into "heaven". Why some religion made people’s life to become so harder. They couldn’t live the way they wanted. The world breaks in to pieces because of religion. What the hell is cast all about? In India those cobblers are untouchables. Then what about famous shoe makers like Dr. Cardin & Nike, are they untouchables too?

Now the path that people find suited to their tastes might be different and I perfectly agree on that . One must be willing to throw away ideas that one has been blindly conditioned with and search for the truth with all his ability the facilities that we have now (books, internet and so on) I’m a Muslim right now and if I find tomorrow that this is simply not the right way to practice, I should be willing to throw this path away and follow the one I'm convinced about. That's what the search is all about. Following a religion even when one is convinced that it's pointless is a most stupid thing to do and is confusing one to the end .

Religion came in when societies were formed for better living and secured life. Super people with high positive energy came forward from the community to change one’s believe which is executed by the cruel old orthodox which only benefited the higher authority and the population had to suffer because of the cruel orthodox.

There are many religions in this world because of many societies. Each religion outlined the scripture to make their environment healthier and became a holy book at the end. But what happened actually? There is a battle among the religions to show their superiority. Some religion says that we are the only people who are entitled for heaven and others to hell no matter how good they are in the world and just because they died as a different religion practitioner they will be placed in and tortured forever. What rubbish is this? God has to be someone who is fair and equal to every human being if at all he is the one who created them. Ego clash of religions led to physical clashes between religions to religion. Religious influence on public leads them to have faith in them and prevents to think beyond.
Illiterate population adds up more children than literate population of urban due to misunderstanding of religion and saying it’s given by god as if they don’t do anything. Reformation in religion is necessary for our future children or else they will not even like any humans from a different religion from them. As we see young generation are poisoned by the older generation until they hate people and the country just because they are different in religion. The most important thing we have to teach and educate our future children how to accept a person for what he or she is. Teach them the values of lives, love and be a useful citizen to the country after all we are not going to be in the world for thousand years. Let’s tribute for the innocent people who killed in September 11 incidents. May their soul rest in peace.
